While it is practical to accommodate the constitution of a Federal
Investigation Agency for the examination of specific offenses committed
regarding matters concerning the Federal Government, and for issues associated
therewith; It is thus established as follows:
Short title, degree and beginning:
·
This Act might be known as the Federal
Investigation Agency Act, 1974.
·
Its degrees to the entire of Pakistan and
furthermore applied to all residents of Pakistan and Public Servants, any place
they might be.
·
It will come to compel without a moment's delay.
Definitions: In this Act, except if there
is anything offensive in the subject or challenge:
·
"Organization" signifies the Federal
Investigation Agency comprised under segment 3;
·
"CODE" signifies the Code of Criminal
Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898);
·
"Chief GENERAL" signifies the Director
General of Agency;
·
"Commonplace POLICE" signifies the
Police comprised by Provincial Government under the Police Act, 1861 (V of
1861);
·
"Community worker" signifies a local
official as characterized in Section 21 of the Pakistan Penal Code (Act XL V of
1860), and incorporates a representative of any partnership or other body or
association set up controlled or directed by or under the power of the Federal
Government;
·
"Extraordinary POLICE" signifies the
Pakistan Special Police Establishment constitution under the Pakistan Special
Police Establishment Ordinance 1948, (VII of 1948);
·
"Determined PERSONS" mean the people
who were delegated to posts in or under a Provincial Police in compatibility of
Article 3 of the Special Police and Provincial Police (Amalgamation) Order,
1962 (P.O. No. 1 of 1962);
·
"RULES" signifies rules made under
this Act.
